MINISTRY - GETTING CONNECTED

Our Ministries are designed with you and your family in mind. Our goal is to help you grow in your walk with the Lord, and in your relationship with others.

Fellowship
The church encourages fellowship at all levels and periodically sponsors special events such as Friends and Family Days, all-church potlucks, ice cream socials, Sunday-evening special activities, Thanksgiving events, Kids’ Christmas Festival programs, among others. Watch for announcements, weekly bulletin and monthly newsletter for dates, times and specific details.

ADULTS

Adult Bible Study (Sunday School)

Enjoy in-depth teaching beginning at 9:30 am with coffee and fellowship every Sunday morning in the sanctuary classroom. Class is from 9:30-10:15 am.

Mid-Week Adult Bible Studies

Pastor's Bible Study - This class is held on Wednesdays in the Sanctuary from 7 - 8:15 p.m. and on Thursdays in the Church Office from 12 noon – 1:00 p.m. Various topics of study from the Bible are discussed.

Living Stones - Living Stones is a disciple group formed with 1 Peter 2:1-2,5 in mind. "Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, 2 like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation … 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."
We desire to grow in our salvation, jointly becoming a spiritual house, engaged in ministry. Our class is designed to build up these four areas: prayer, knowledge of the Word, fellowship, and witnessing.  Every class includes prayer, Bible study, and sharing our spiritual journeys. We use the Designed for Discipleship curriculum from NavPress.

Senior Adults

Prime Time Potlucks
On the fourth Sunday every month, adults 50+ are invited to bring a dish of food to share and enjoy fellowship in front of the kitchen after the morning service. Questions? Contact the church office.

Men

Breakfast Fellowship

Men meet the first Thursday of each month at 8:00 a.m. for fellowship over a breakfast at Denny’s (Shaw & Willow). No reservations are needed.

Women

Club Mom
On the last Wednesday of each month, while children enjoy the fun of “Wacky Wednesday” in the Children’s Ministries program, moms, grandmothers, and other primary caregivers come together to share a teaching, encouragement, recipes, tips, parenting skills, and much more. Please come to receive support and encouragement.  If you’re a mother, grandmother or caregiver of children and intricately involved in raising the young ones in your family come and join us!

We meet at 7:00 pm in the Library in the church office building. Watch the bulletin and newsletter for each month’s theme, topics and guest speakers. Questions? Contact the church office for more information.

Children & Youth
LC Youth

Wednesday
Teens, ages 13 to 18 meet mid-week at 7:00pm in the Sunday School building’s Teen Room for fellowship, fun, worship and Bible study.

Sunday
Teens are dismissed to an age-appropriate class every other Sunday morning after the worship service. On alternate weekends they remain in the sanctuary with family and friends for the main church worship service and sermon.

Children

We desire for children to know God’s love and we teach them how to know Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him. We endeavor to equip children with biblical truths and give them the tools they need to have faith in Jesus Christ, to be obedient to Him and to share His love with those around them.
